Ten people, including five members of the same familywere killed when the small aircraft they were traveling in crashed in the northwest Colombiathe local authorities announced today.
The governor of the province of Antioquia, Andres Julián Redon, announced that “no survivors found” in the wreckage.
The plane took off on Wednesday from Jurado, a town in the impoverished province of Choco, near the border with Panama, bound for Medellin. Air traffic controllers lost contact with him that afternoon. An investigation into the cause of the crash is already underway.
Among the victims were three minors both crew members.
