A small plane crashed near Lancaster County in Pennsylvania on Sunday afternoon.

The plane crashed in Manheim and rescue crews are in the area. The Lancaster Police Service confirmed the fall of the plane, but could not provide information on injuries or victims, with CNN reporting that several ambulances had rushed to the spot.

The Federal Aviation Service (FAA) said five people were aboard BeechCraft Bonanza. The service said it would investigate the accident.

According to the FlightAware service, the plane took off from Lancaster Airport at 15:26 (local time) and headed to Springfield, Ohio.

Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro told X (formerly Twitter) that Pennsylvania State Police is helping rescuers on the spot.
