For the basic issues of Ecumenical Patriarchate but also the priorities of the Greek -American community were informed by Archbishop of America Hope The leader of the majority of Republican Steve Scaly. The Archbishop had a breakfast work with his MP and prominent Greek -American businessman John Georgis as part of a visit to the state of Louisiana.
As a faithful Roman Catholic, MP Steve Skaliz maintains a deep respect for the Ecumenical Patriarchate and the Greek Orthodox Church in America. In fact, he is familiar with the issues related to Greece and Cyprus, as he is a member of the Hellenic Caucus team.
The Archbishop warmly thanked Mr Skaliz for his hospitality during the swearing -in of President Trump. Finally, he addressed the MP to attend the forthcoming celebrations of the Greek Day of Independence and to accompany him to a visit to the church of Agios Nikolaos and the National Sanctuary at Zero at Manhattan.
