Relatives of hostages held in the Gaza Strip were demonstrated outside Israeli ministers today, calling for a ceasefire and agreement with the Palestinian Islamist Organization Hamas to liberate hostages.

“We will not forgive further delay,” says a statement by the Host and Missing Family Family forum, “Listen to people. Turn on this war and bring everyone back.”

The protesters gathered outside the houses of six government ministers, including Defense Minister Israel Kats and Foreign Minister Gidone Saar. Another major day of mobilization throughout Israel is designed to take place on Tuesday.

Hamas announced last Monday that it had agreed with a new proposal by mediators to cease fire.

According to the media, this is an amended version of a proposal previously negotiated by US special envoy Steve Whitkov, who is alleged to include a 60 -day ceasefire during which ten hostages will be released in exchange for the release of Palestinian prisoners.

A total of 50 hostages are still being held in the Gaza Strip, of which only 20 are allegedly alive.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has approved a plan to occupy the city of Gaza while at the same time leaving a prospect of new negotiations with Hamas.
