The first wishes that Pontiff this morning received were those of the young patients of the Catholic, Pediatric Hospital in Rome “Babino Tzzou”, who wanted to express their love with a series of paintings dedicated to him.
Immediately afterwards, it was followed by the Italian President of the Republic, Sergio Matarella, who stressed that “all the Italian people are with a special affection on the side of Pope Leo”. Referring to the ever -increasing international tensions and the urgent need for peace and justice, the Italian president added: “From all continents people are looking forward to your dynamic calls to stop the war and follow the way again.”
