The willingness of Hamas to find and hand over the remaining 15 bodies of hostages in the Gaza Strip, if it is given more time and heavy equipment, the leader of the organization expressed, Khalil al-Haya, in an interview with Al-Qahira Al-Akhbariya channel.

“We are ready to recover and hand over all the bodies (of the hostages) according to the agreement. We have no desire to keep anyone with us — let them go back to their relatives and our martyrs will come back and be buried with dignity,” he says.

He adds that it is difficult to reach the bodies because some are buried and under buildings, and notes that this takes time and equipment.

Hamas has long said it would need additional equipment to locate the remaining dead hostages. Israel has accused Hamas of lying, saying it can return almost all the bodies in a short period of time. There are additional concerns that the terrorist group could reuse heavy equipment.

al-Haya also says that the guarantees Hamas received from mediators and from the United States mean that the war in Gaza is over.

He further emphasizes that they have told the mediators that the amount of aid entering Gaza must be increased.
