During this operation, which was carried out in cooperation with Interpol and the Spanish police, 10 people were arrested as members of the “Vratsar Gang”.
Ivica Dacic in an interview with Serbian Public Television (RTS) assumed that Nikolic was the “treasurer” of the criminal organization.
“More than 250 thousand euros, gold bars, expensive wristwatches, etc. were found in the apartment of the basketball referee Uros Nikolics. There are suspicions that he had financial support for the actions of this criminal organization,” said the Serbian Interior Minister.
The Vracar criminal organization was active in Serbia and other European countries. Its members are suspected of committing criminal offenses such as murder, extortion and bombings. According to the police announcement, they are responsible for at least two murders committed in 2018 and 2020, as well as one attempted murder.
