Taxi assistance will be paid to up to 301 thousand drivers on August 16

The first batch of Taxi Assistance can be paid to up to 301 thousand drivers registered with the MTP (Ministry of Labor and Social Security). The benefit, which can reach installments of up to R$1,000, will begin to be paid on August 16th.

The MTP reported this Wednesday (3) that 3,119 municipalities sent the workers’ documentation. See the list of cities that have already registered drivers.

Now, the data will be processed by Dataprev (Technology and Information Company of the Federal Government), which will cross-check the information to define which registered drivers are eligible to receive the benefit.

Taxi drivers may receive up to R$ 2,000 this month, referring to the payment of the first and second installments scheduled for August.

The forecast is that professionals receive up to six installments of up to R$ 1,000 each. However, this value may fluctuate according to the number of taxi drivers entitled to emergency income.

System opens for new registrations on August 5th

According to the folder, between this Wednesday (3) and Thursday (4) the system will be closed for Dataprev to analyze and cross-reference the data. As of Friday (5), municipalities will be able to re-register drivers.

Professionals who are registered in the second stage and are eligible for the Taxi Driver Benefit will also receive the two installments (for the months of July and August), but payment will be made on August 30th. The deadline for submitting entries will be September 11.

TAXI DRIVER WITH IRREGULAR CPF WILL NOT RECEIVE

Taxi drivers who have an irregular CPF will not receive it. This rule includes CPFs that are suspended, cancelled, void or that are linked to someone who has died. Anyone who earns a pension for death is also not entitled, as are professionals who receive a benefit for permanent incapacity for work, which is disability retirement.

Data will be cross-referenced on all national bases. Anyone who is a taxi driver and is also registered as a truck driver in the Autonomous Cargo Carriers system will not have access to the money. In this case, the professional must receive the Truck Driver Allowance of up to R$ 1,000, which starts to be paid on August 9.

PAYMENT WILL BE MADE BY CASH

Taxist Assistance amounts will be automatically deposited in the digital social savings account, through Caixa Tem. There is no need to register or send account data for the deposit.

Caixa Tem is operated by Caixa Econômica Federal. In it, citizens can pay bills, perform Pix, generate a code to withdraw money at Caixa, lottery or Caixa Aqui correspondents and buy with automatic debit in physical and virtual stores that accept this type of payment.
