Former São Paulo governor João Doria said that the number of investors interested in attending the next Lide conference in New York on November 14th and 15th jumped from approximately 120 to more than 240 people, including Brazilian businessmen, bank representatives and American funds.

The event’s agenda, which will address the issue of respect for freedom and democracy, in addition to the economic prospects for 2023, touches on hot topics in the news in recent days, in which Bolsonaro raised and later denied the proposal to increase the number of ministers of the Federal Supreme Court (STF).

The schedule for the Lide event in New York includes lectures by six ministers of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), in addition to the president of the Central Bank, Roberto Campos Neto, economists Henrique Meirelles, Joaquim Levy and Persio Arida, businessman Rubens Ometto and the President of Febraban, Isaac Sidney.

Doria says that the level of interest has grown both in terms of institutional and economic issues. “It will be the first major post-election event that will bring together the business and institutional world around the debate on Brazil,” he says.

According to Doria, the acting president of the TCU (Union Court of Auditors), Minister Bruno Dantas, also confirmed his presence.
