A video shared in WhatsApp groups shows children wearing the uniform of Colégio Dante Alighieri, a traditional educational institution in São Paulo (SP), shouting the name of President Jair Bolsonaro (PL), candidate for reelection in the election on the 30th.
The footage that Folha had access to was taken on a bus. The children were being taken to a classmate’s birthday party. In the video, you can see just over 20 students, most of them in school uniform. Some make negative signs and shout the name of Bolsonaro’s opponent, former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
Dante Alighieri said in a statement that he is not aware of the footage, has not authorized it and stated that the distribution of the video violates the Statute of Children and Adolescents and the General Data Protection Law.
