Representatives of the electricity sector are going to Brasília this Monday (21) to pressure deputies for the deliberation of the new regulatory framework for the sector.
The business movement, organized by Abraceel (association of energy traders), expects the bill, already approved by senators last year, to enter into force before the October elections.
The main theme of PL 414 is the unrestricted opening of the electricity market so that all consumers can choose their own supplier and migrate in search of lower prices.
The association argues that, after the approval of the law with the schedule to reduce consumption limits for those who want to carry out the portability of the electricity bill, there should be a strong migration of consumers from the regulated market, including residential ones, to the free market in the first four years. years, attracted by prices up to 30% lower.
In defense of the measure, Abraceel says that those who do not have the resources to invest in a distributed solar generation system would have an opportunity to reduce their energy bill.
