Actor Will Smith, 53, and his wife, actress Jada Pinkett, 50, were seen together publicly for the first time after this year’s Oscars ceremony, in which the protagonist of “King Richard: Raising Champions” slapped his face. comedian Chris Rock, after he made fun of Pinkett.

According to the website Page Six, the couple was photographed in Malibu, near the restaurant Nobu – known for being a famous place among celebrities. The two were walking hand in hand and Will even waved to fans during the walk.

The Oscar winner wore a black hat, navy blue polo shirt and matching pants. Jada, on the other hand, wore an all-black ensemble, with a flannel shirt tied around her waist and a pair of sunglasses. They were spotted a few weeks after Will released his latest apology for the slap.

The assault happened in March, during the Oscars ceremony, shortly before the actor won his first statuette from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Hollywood, for “King Richard: Raising Champions”.

In early August, a source told Us Weekly that the actor had no desire to apologize to Chris Rock, however, he was encouraged by his wife. “Jada was also pushing Will to apologize because it became something dark about her ‘Red Table Talk’ series,” the source said.

The slap came after Rock made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith’s alopecia, a condition that causes hair loss. She was annoyed and at first Smith appeared laughing, however, shortly after he decided to go on stage to slap the comedian.
