The life of Fernanda Montenegro, 92, has not been easy after the veteran actress declared her vote for Lula (PT). The artist published a video in which she recited an open letter in which her support for the PT was evident. However, after that, many bolsonaristas have cursed her and doubted her real intentions.
“She votes for Lula because she will breastfeed again under the Rouanet Law. Fernanda Montenegro is a very boring actress, always the same thing”, opined a follower. “It has aged in the body, but it has not created a critical awareness of what is really good for Brazil and its people. It continues after the Rouanet Law money. Poor Fernanda, when you leave for another dimension you will become a spirit without light”, wrote another.
There was also one who asked “who is Fernanda Montenegro?”, and another who said he didn’t believe in how she could campaign “to destroy her own country just out of vanity”. The open letter was also shared by Globo journalist Miriam Leitão.
In the video, Fernanda says: “I vote for Lula in the hope of a Brazil with education, health and the defense of nature. I vote for Lula in the hope of real service to science, to culture, to the culture of the arts. In the name of democracy, for president, Lula”.
Fellow actors and actresses supported the letter, such as Cláudia Abreu, Zezé Motta, Antonio Calloni, Alexandre Nero and Rainer Cadete.
