Singer Maria, 21, currently confined to Big Brother Brasil 22 (Globo), won a lawsuit against a company that managed her career and should receive a sum of R$10,000. The information was confirmed with the Court of Justice of Rio de Janeiro.
According to the document that F5 had access, Maria, whose real name is Vitória Nascimento Câmara, asked for a total of R$25,000 in compensation, alleging that the company did not remunerate her properly during the time they worked together.
According to the file, the contract signed between the parties was dated August 2018, but it would have come from a letter of intent between them when Maria was still under 18 years old. The contract aimed at the exclusive agency of Maria’s artistic career, the exclusivity of her interpretations of any nature, sound or audiovisual, and the exclusivity for phonographic fixations of the singer’s interpretations.
But everything started to change when Maria thought that the agency would promote and develop her artistic career, something she says did not happen. The company, according to the lawsuit, also did not account for the receipts that occurred in the few shows that it managed to arrange for the artist.
Now, Maria wins in court the right to receive compensation for breach of contract. The agency in question could not be reached for comment.
In reality, the relationship between Maria and Natalia seems to collapse. Before the last Paredão, Maria cried to blame herself for having voted for her sister and was comforted by Eliezer.
Natalia made several outbursts about Maria. “For me, her vote was incoherent, I thought it was disloyal. Now she and nothing for me are the same”, he said in a conversation with Jessi. The sister revealed that she felt like cursing Maria the moment she apologized. “Bastard”.
