The fire that broke out at noon on Tuesday (19/7) in the area is burning in a difficult place on the ridge, above the Vasilika of Elateia in Fthiotida.
The timely intervention of the ground and air forces in the fire resulted in there being no active front near a residential area, while now the front has been limited high up on the mountain.
Firefighters are creating facilities to approach the spot that is burning, while five aircraft, specifically three air tractors and two pzl, along with an Erickson helicopter, are taking care of extinguishing it from the air.
