The reception for the 48th Anniversary of the Restoration of Democracy was held in the garden of the Presidential Palace, with an extended list of guests and strong representation from Civil Society.
With an extended list of guests and strong representation from the Civil Society, the reception was held for the 48th Anniversary of the Restoration of the Republic in the garden of the Presidential Palace.
In particular, people from the field of Arts and Letters, representatives of Women’s Organizations and Social Welfare structures, people with Disabilities, executives of Non-Governmental Organizations, people from the field of Health, distinguished scientists, athletes, professionals from the productive sector were invited to attend. Economy, residents of critical areas, excellent students, Roma students, Air Firefighters, homeless, refugees, as well as the National Men’s Polo Team with their coach.
In this context, Maria Lepenioti, president of the court in the Golden Dawn trial, Emmanuel Dermitzakis, geneticist, director of the Institute of Genetics and Genomics of Geneva, Christos Kyratsous, vice president of Infectious Disease Research and Viral Vector Technologies of the American company Regeneron, were invited. Stamatis Krimizis, academic-scientist of space, Kouros Nurmohamadi Baigi, a young refugee from Iran who excelled in the Panhellenic exams, Saidou Kamara, an excellent student from Guinea, Selim Paraskevas, a young Roma student studying at the Democritus University of Thrace, Lilian Stefanaki, mayor of Gavdos, Panagiotis Patelis, pharmacist in rural Chalki, the family of volunteer firefighter Vassilis Filora, who lost his life in Hippocrates Politia, during the big fires of last year.
The Prime Minister was the last of the political leaders to leave the Presidential Palace as there was great interest from the guests at the reception on a range of issues from energy to Greek-Turkish affairs. Many of the non-political guests of the Presidency asked to be photographed with him, while several of them told him in the conversations they had in the Presidential gardens with Kyriakos Mitsotakis that they agree with his decision to hold elections at the end of the four years.
