It was with great surprise and shock that we read today’s reports regarding the testimony – deposition of a 19-year-old, former guest minor in our public benefit structures, on charges of a person related to the Ark of the World for committing acts of indolence.
Kivotos tou Kosmos assures that it has no knowledge of the reported incidents, nor of the facts or persons mentioned in these publications. Therefore, at this time, he cannot take a position and awaits further information from the relevant authorities.
It goes without saying that we unequivocally condemn such incidents and assure that the Ark of the World and its Social Services will be the first to assist the Authorities in investigating the accused. Knowing the role of the Ark of the World and our responsibilities, we declare that if it becomes clear that there is responsibility of people associated with the Ark, we will take the necessary measures and suffer the consequences.
The Ark of the World, in the accommodation structures for minors that it has created, always has child protection as its primary criterion and legal responsibility, which is the sole guiding principle for our charitable work and actions.
