The all-electric Astra Electric will be available to order from spring 2023.
Opel has revealed the first photos of the new electric Astra. It is the first mass-produced all-electric Astra in the decades-long history of the German brand’s compact best-seller.
The all-electric Astra Electric will be available to order from spring 2023. The electric motor produces 115 kW/156 hp and 270 Nm of torque. Top speed is limited to 150 km/h and the driver will be able to choose between Eco, Normal and Sport modes, depending on their driving style.
Energy is stored in a 54 kWh lithium-ion battery, which is positioned under the front and rear seats, ensuring maximum space for passengers and their luggage, as well as a low center of gravity, for more dynamic driving. The new Astra Electric can cover up to 416 kilometers without charging recording an average energy consumption of 12.7 kWh per 100 km. Its battery can be charged to 80% of its capacity in approximately 30 minutes at a direct current (DC) fast charging station ) 100 kW.
Finally, the fully digital Pure Panel with its two large 10-inch screens transports the driver into a modern environment. The new generation system displays the necessary information, such as the battery charge status or range, while important settings, such as the climate control, are easily made with the push of a button.
