A particularly important project is headed for implementation in the Municipality of Hellinikon-Argyroupoli. As the mayor Yiannis Constantatos announced today, a park for disabled children will be created, in addition to the disabled building that is already being constructed within the area of Ellinikos airport.
The road to the implementation of the project was opened by securing the relevant funding from the Region of Attica, after the relevant study submitted by the municipality. Specifically, the design and study foresee the creation of the park with cultural, recreational and sports facilities, which will be located next to the disabled building, in the current park of Agia Paraskevi, which in turn will be upgraded and expanded.
“When dreams come true,” said the mayor, Yiannis Constantatos, in a related post on his official Facebook account. He emphasized, among other things, that: “I am very happy, as a personal commitment of mine since 2019 has been launched and will be implemented quickly in the coming months, opening a port of entertainment, sports and joy for all the children of Attica and not only of our municipality”.
And he concluded: “In the municipality of Hellinikon-Argyroupolis, which is a protagonist at this social level as well, no one will feel or be excluded, as it gives equal opportunities to all our fellow citizens. I personally thank the regional governor Giorgos Patoulis and the deputy regional governor Christos Theodoropoulos for their immediate response to our request, which in a few months will become a life’s work for all children with disabilities”.
