Hatzidakis: “Others speak words, we speak with works for vulnerable citizens”

“Others speak words, we speak with deeds for the pensioners, the disabled and the socially weak!” says the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs in a post on his Facebook Page.

“It is not only the awarding of pending pensions. It’s not just the drop in unemployment from 17.5% in the summer of 2019 to 11.8% this September. It is not only the Digital Work Card that is a guarantee for the respect of employees’ hours.

With the latest law 4997/2022 on the rationalization of insurance legislation, among other things: We regulated the way to pay the horizontal increase of 7.75% in pensions at the end of January. And the extraordinary financial aid to 2.3 million vulnerable citizens at the end of the year. We reduced the statute of limitations for non-confirmed debts to EFKA to 10 years. We have increased to 24 installments for settled debts to EFKA. We have established uniform rules for receiving a disability pension, with a disability rate of 50% or more. We have set a ceiling on outrageously high supplementary pensions. We extended maternity leave to 9 months in the private sector.
In the government and in the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs we have decided to proceed on the path of European reforms. And to implement a social policy with results!”.
