He kept Bayern unbeaten in Munich and Copenhagen finished second!

by

Bayern Munich and Copenhagen drew 0-0 at the “Allianz Arena”, for the 5th matchday of the 1st group of this year’s Champions League, with the French referee Stéphanie Frapard… starring.

A result which gives the second, the second place in the group at the given time, and leaves the first “unbeaten” for the first time in the season after the final of the German Super Cup and the defeat by Leipzig with 3-0!

The first half did not have many good moments, with the home side in total control against a passive opponent, but unable to turn it into a goal in their few good moments.

In the 13th minute, Tel missed the first opportunity to open the scoring, as from Coman’s cross from the right and Miller’s header, the French winger missed from a difficult angle.

Copenhagen took the lead out of…nowhere in the 27th minute when Bardy shot from 14 yards but the ball went just wide of Neuer’s left post!

While on the half-hour mark it was Miller’s turn to miss the biggest chance to send the ball into the net as Grabara’s header was saved…

The Danes went into the replay strongly and in the first few seconds saw Neuer send the ball over to… the unsuspecting Claesson, but the Bayern keeper made a second-time save.

With Diogo Gonsalves opting to shoot in the 57th minute, rather than pass past him, from the height of the penalty area and the ball goes wide of the right post.

The Bavarians appealed for a penalty against Tel five minutes later, with the phase ruled via VAR and no foul awarded.

Seeing his side sluggish, Thomas Tuchel made a triple switch, in midfield, for Kane’s long but powerful shot in the 68th minute which forced Grabara to make an overpowering save for a corner.

Entering the final stretch, Bayern asked for a penalty again, this time in the 84th minute when Miller was overturned, with the referee Frapar denying it. At the same time, three minutes later, the guests came close to 0-1, with Neuer saying “no” to two attempts by Eliunoussi and Gorecka getting sent off as the phase progressed!

In the first minute of extra time, this time, Frapar awarded a penalty, for Ankersen’s hand in an attempt by Kretsich, a decision which… he took back, after an on-field review, amid disapproval.

Thus, the German team stopped at 17 consecutive victories in the competition, while extending its unbeaten streak to 39 matches, while Copenhagen will give… final qualification in the last game against Galatasaray.
