by

The qualification for the knockouts of this year’s Champions League was secured by Real Madrid, which after an incredible match at the “Bernabeu” was imposed 4-2 of Napoli for the 5th matchday of the institution’s group stage!

A result with which the “merenches” did it “5 out of 5” in the 3rd group and secured the first place of the 3rd group, sending the “partenopei” to a match “final” for the qualification in the last match against Braga!

In the other group game, Braga and Berlin Union they stayed at 1-1 in Portugal, with the Germans remaining – if only mathematically as they face Real in the final – alive in the hunt for 3rd place leading into the Europa League.

The 5th matchday:

Real Madrid-Napoli 4-2

(11′ Rodrigo, 22′ Bellingham, 84′ Paz, 90+4′ Joselu – 9′ Simeone, 47′ Aguisa)

Braga-Union Berlin 1-1

(51′ Tzalo – 42′ Gossens)

The last matchday (12/12)

Union Berlin-Real Madrid (22:00)

Napoli-Braga (22:00)

The score of the 3rd group:

In the game held in Madrid, the Naples entered the match strongly, shocking the “merenches” with Simeone’s goal in the 9th minute. Despite the initial shock, Real quickly turned the situation around, with Rodrigo and Bellingham “striking” in the 11′ and 22′ respectively for the home team’s 2-1! As in the first half, so also in the replay, the “partenopei” once again found the way to the net with Anguitha (47′), re-entering the claim of the match.

However, Real continued to be in control of the match, transforming their supremacy in the last quarter of the match with the goals of Paz (84′) and Joselu, thus taking a very impressive victory over the champions of Italy!

In the other group match, Braga and Berlin Union they stayed at 1-1. The home side saw the match go awry early on, after Niakate was sent off with a straight red card in the 30th minute. The Germans took advantage of their numerical advantage and took the lead with Gossens in the 42nd minute. Nevertheless, the Portuguese proved to be a tough nut to crack, equalizing in the 51st minute with Tzalo, maintaining this result until the finale, with which they gained the upper hand to occupy third place in the group.
