A Grand Slam and an Olympic medal is his goal Stefanou Tsitsipas for 2024, as he clarified in his statements to ERT.

The leading Greek tennis player will defend the Greek colors in the Davis Cup next weekend, in the matches against Romania, which will be held in the closed Ano Liosion, and he talked about his obligations this year and his collaboration with his brother, Petros.

My goal for 2024 is definitely a Grand Slam and an Olympic medal. It means a lot to me. It is a lifelong dream to compete with Petros at the Olympic Games in Paris».

On his part, Mr Petros Tsitsipas added: “What makes us very strong together as a couple is that Stefanos is a super athlete and I, for my part, am a player who sees the field very well»

Their father and coach, Apostolos Tsitsipasstated: “Their relationship has become much stronger and especially now that they can play together, they want to achieve things that they have dreamed of and I think they are on the right track».

As for the tensions that may arise between them, Stefanos Tsitsipas said:

Sometimes I may not speak very nicely to him but he is the only one who understands me and is part of the job. The good thing about this is that we can separate the job of the father from the coach“, while his father added: “I think that’s what matters, being a good father, giving good advice. The coaching part, we have evolved together with the children. We have learned to overcome difficulties and adversities».
