New Board of Directors in the Canoe Kayak Federation

On the morning of Sunday 13 October in Piraeus, the elections of the Canoe Kayak, Sup and Surfing federation were held for the selection of a new board of directors and a regular member of the Hellenic Olympic Committee.

27 unions took part in the vote and Giorgos Athanasiou was elected president of the federation, receiving 16 votes. Alexandros Peratikos received 9 while two were white.

Regular member of the federation in EOE will be Antonis Nikolopoulos and alternate member, George Athanasiou.

The new Board of Directors consists of:

Agapi Athanasiou, Nautical group of Alimos

Andreas Antonopoulos, Tzifion Kallithea Nautical Club

Thanos Voulgaridis, Naval Sports Association

Antihippi Skyrioti, Nautical Group of Chalkida

Chrysa Tsamopoulou, Heraklion stand-up paddleboarding and surfing

Spyros Katsavos, Maritime Group of Messolonghi

Nikos Kouridakis, Chania Maritime Group

Angelos Perathorakis, Windsurfing and Windsurfing Club of Chania

Michalis Farsaris, Naval Sports Club of Agios Nikolaos

Yannis Stamatatos, Vari Maritime Group

In his first statement as president of the newly established Board of Directors, George Athanasiou, underlined:

“From today I take on a great responsibility. Let’s all together lead the federation and the sports we love on the path of continuous development and progress. It’s not time for words, but for work.”
