The inauguration ceremony of the new government will take place at 10 am at the Presidential Palace
The newly elected President of the Republic of Cyprus gives his “legal assurance” today to the House of Representatives Nikos Christodoulidis.
Mr. Christodoulidis is expected to go to the Parliament, where he will have a meeting with the president of the House of Representatives Annita Dimitriou.
Afterwards, the outgoing president will move to the Parliament Nikos Anastasiadis, who will meet Mr. Christodoulidis also at the President’s office. Both will then proceed to the Plenary Hall for the installation ceremony at 11.30am.
After the ceremony, the new president will address the Plenary and then he will receive the congratulations of the members of the Parliament in the office of the President of the Parliament.
Upon its completion ceremony the outgoing president of the Republic, Nikos Anastasiadis, will return to the Presidential Palace, where the presidential couple will welcome the new president, Nikos Christodoulidis, and the first lady, Filippa Karseras. After the meeting they will have at the Office of the President of the Republic, President Christodoulidis will see off President Anastasiades, who will leave the Presidential Palace.
