KAE Panathinaikos AKTOR announces the holding of the 6th “Pavlos Giannakopoulos” tournament, in memory of the leading player of the Club, on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at the Panathinaikos Stadium, under the sky of our Athens.
Four major European basketball teams will meet in Kallimarmaro to play two important matches, honoring the memory of the historical leader of Panathinaikos, the man who brought him to the top of Europe and made him known to the ends of the world.
More specifically, Anadolu Efes Istanbul, Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv and Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade responded positively to the invitation of KAE Panathinaikos AKTOR and on Saturday September 21, 2024 they will be in Athens, in order to participate in this great tournament, which has been now an institution.
Pavlos Giannakopoulos, with his ethics and sportsmanship spirit, honored Greek sports and managed to change the history of our team, making it the most successful in Europe.
The years he was in the presidency of Panathinaikos brought to the team top names in the sport from Greece, Europe and the whole world, creating an enviable trophy case with six European Championships, thirteen Greek Championships, nine Greek Cups and one Intercontinental Cup. Everyone had enormous respect and love for Pavlos Giannakopoulos, as he first functioned as “father” and then as president.

The sale of tickets for this great event has started and more than 35,000 fans will have the opportunity to “attend” the stands of Kallimarmaros, in order to experience a unique experience watching two important matches.
Due to the place where the parquet will be placed in the venue of the event, the positions of the departments with remote visibility (Obstructed View), will have the possibility of watching the matches through specially configured screens.
It should be noted that there is no numbering in the stadium and for this reason your timely arrival will ensure you a better place in the corresponding price zone of your ticket, with the logic of first come, first served.
